FGirth was born in the GDR in 1963 to a working-class family. His parents, who worked hard themselves, placed great value on education and diligence. FGirth showed an interest in craftsmanship and creative design from an early age.
The carpentry apprenticeship and the old sewing machine
After leaving school, FGirth embarked on a career as a carpenter. From 1979 to 1982, he completed an apprenticeship at VEB Magdeburger Möbelwerke. But his passion wasn't just for wood - he discovered sewing as a hobby. An old, broken sewing machine that he received as a gift became his faithful companion.
Challenges and changes
FGirth married at the age of 25 and his son was born in April 1989. But the political landscape changed dramatically: the fall of the Berlin Wall in May 1989 brought both freedom and uncertainty. FGirth joined the National People's Army and experienced the historic events at first hand.
From unemployment to self-employment
In 2000, FGirth was hit by the harsh realities of unemployment and divorce. But he did not give up. In 2001, he married a woman with three children in Thuringia. From 2003 to 2005, he worked as a carpenter for a temporary employment agency, with assignments throughout Germany and even in Austria. From 2005 to 2008, he retrained as an office administrator.
The path to the fashion industry
In 2010, FGirth moved to Hildesheim to work as an upholsterer. But he couldn't let go of sewing. In 2011, he faced unemployment again. But this time he dared to take the step into self-employment. FGirth set up his own business in the fashion industry and became a brand owner. His handmade creations captured people's hearts.
